Hi everyone!,

I'm Ramón, originally from Spain but currently based in Singapore. I've been in the hobby for quite a long time, starting years ago with WFB, and gradually moving more and more towards modelling, painting, and conversions.

I recently decided to finally join the Pendraken forum after being encouraged by my friends, especially with the painting competition coming up, which gave me the push I needed.

My favourite part of the hobby is probably the modelling and basing side of things, and I'm really enjoying working in 10 mm at the moment.

Many thanks as well to everyone here — I've been reading the forum for years, learning a great deal from your posts, so it's a pleasure to finally join in properly.

Looking forward to taking part and contributing.

QuoteHi - bit separated atm?

Hi! Yes, just a bit busy lately, but I'm back now. Last year I only sculpted a dromedary, and at the moment I've only got my tools and a handful of Pendraken figures with me. If there's interest, I'd be happy to start a modelling thread on the forum.

A pleasure reading you referring to me, gentlemen. It's quite a medal in my humble universe.

Many thanks for the welcome. I'm looking forward to sharing some work in the painting competition, even if my painting is a lot behind my modelling skills.

Hello and welcome!

Since you've been reading the forum for a while at least you don't need my usual warning about threads that are by turns informative, weird and and in some cases not so much derailed as lured off to Elfland by the Faerie Queen only to emerge blinking in the sunlight at a world that has moved on a century in the interim.

Did I mention weird?  ;D ;D ;D

I can safely say I'm already familiar with its more... Faerie-adjacent tendencies. Where I may still occasionally stumble is in opening threads in exactly the right place :P .

QuoteWhich periods interest you?

Hi fsn, as for periods, my interests are fairly broad within the medieval and fantasy sphere. I originally came into the hobby through WFB, and these days I'm particularly interested in medieval-inspired fantasy settings.

That said, I've also worked on pieces for friends focused on Antiquity, the Renaissance, and the Napoleonic period, and I've enjoyed it a great deal. But thanks to you lot, I'm now open to exploring new periods where people wear uniforms to blend in rather than to stand out.

Many thanks to all for the warm welcome!

That sounds great, thank you! If I make it to Bangkok, I'll make sure to come properly prepared for a respectable tabletop confrontation 😄
I really appreciate the offer — I'll definitely be in touch.
