Great looking game as usual :-bd

That went south very quickly in the end for the Germans in the end.

Sometimes one event can fundamentally change a situation in a very short space of time, both on the gaming table as well as in the "real world".

Good looking game, and a nice campaign idea.

What (in game terms) happened when the Priests fired on the Stugs and Infantry? It's a while since I've played BKC, and am far too lazy to find and check the rules, so the following might not be fully correct.

Assuming the infantry and Stugs where close enough together to all be caught in the same concentration so its the sum of all dice, IIRC 105s have 3 shooting dice each, so 3x3= 9. Even in the open they are hitting on 4+, so an average result won't quite kill an infantry stand, but a good roll could. Can't recall the numbers for attacking armour, but it will be worse odds, as they at least get a save, although will have fewer wounds per stand.

Armour is hit on a 6 so the Stugs are not likley to lose any Forbes

Thanks chaps :) .

@ Fred, the Priests have 6 dice each (BKCII), so 18 dice. The dice rolling was very good and the Stugs only have 4 hits and a 6+ save (-1 for indirect fire, ie thin top armour).

I've just had a look at the rules as that sounds a lot of attacks - I had wondered if 105mms got 4 dice vs 3 dice for 25pdrs - but certainly in my copy of the rules they are both 3 dice. The only unit with 6 dice is naval units!

As Ian said I also think artillery only hit armour on 6s.

I use BKCII Fred and both the 25pdr's and 105's have 6 dice per unit. So still hitting on 6's, but when the dice roll high for you and the saves are off, you don't last long. One Stug was already KO'd and another on 2 hits, so they were up against it when the artillery arrived.

Sorry, mixed up the shades of the rule books!

I think in BKC2 these higher dice are to represent the bigger batteries of British units. But yes 18 dice are really going to delete stuff - especially if it's already carrying some damage.
