These are the first lot of French troops I've finished. I'm a slow painted anyway but being in the thick of being a "grown up" (toy soldiers notwithstanding) doesn't leave much time for hobbies that deserve a good bit of time and attention dedicated to them. However, I've been really pleased with how easy it is to batch paint a big unit to a good standard in a relatively short amount of time, houzzah! Thanks to (I think) Duke Speedy for answering my Q about sash colour, apologies if it was someone else...!FPW.jpg

Thanks all. They're based with playing scaled down Black Powder in mind, three bases of regulars with two detachable bases of skirmishers for Mixed Formation. I don't know if anyone has experience with Black Powder and if it's any good, but it's the rule book I already own and I'm willing to make it work if it means I don't have to pay for another book! I've got Prussians too so I'm hoping to have both sides ready for a game with my group at some point next year.
