Hi All ,
I've managed to get myself confused again at the end of the turn
Do I take off only the active players hits or everyone's?
Does suppression stay on ?
Cheers

Page 58, End of Turn steps.

Remove all hits from BOTH player units on the table (i.e. hits from your units and hits from your opponents units)
Remove suppression markers from all of the ACTIVE player's units only (i.e. just from your units, not from your opponents)

Amra

Ok ,yes. But p18 says the opposite so...

Gwydion

Okay, I'm confused as well.
My (physical copy) of BKC IV has no 'End of Turn' steps on p.58 - that is Scenario check list and Deployment.
p.56 has 'End Phase' which is exactly the same as p.18 Phase: End.
Which says:
Remove Outstanding hits from all of the active player's units on the table.
Remove suppression markers from all of the active player's units.

I have a download of errata 1.0 which doesn't say anything about changes to this but I note that the links to errata in BKCIV Errata thread no longer work for me, so there may be changes?

First post, I said page 58. It is actually page 56. This was an error on my part. It is also titled End Phase.

I have looked at page 18. It doesn't contradict the End Phase on p. 56, it just doesn't specify that you also take off hits for the opponent. Instead, it seems to mainly just tell you what the ACTIVE player does in their turn. They go through each phase. In this phase sequence, it also doesn't include other things that the opponent does, such as opportunity fire.

Basically I would go off the properly detail End Phase on p. 56, rather than simply the reference to the phases/sequence of play on p. 18. Page 56 states:

Remove all hits from both player's units on the table.
Remove suppression markers from all of the active player's units only.

The reference at the front seems to be just an overview of the sequence of play, and not the more detailed rules outlined for each Phase.

My p.18 wording and p.56 wording are exactly the same; as I posted above.
ie - active player only removes hits and suppression.- both p.18 and p.56.

It seems we have two rule books with different text in. Unfortunately I can't seem to work out how to attach an image to show my rules.

In the PDF version of BKC4 - which is titled with MAR20 - p18 and p56 are different. With p18 only saying remove hits from active player (which I believe is wrong).

I have an APR19 PDF that says on both pages to only remove hits from the active player's units.

Okay - that may be it: I have the hard copy version where, as I say, both tables: p.18 and p56 say the active player removes both hits and suppression.

My copies of CWC I, CWC II and BKC II all say remove all hits from all units and suppression from active units which makes sense but that isn't what it says in my copy of BKC IV! :(

Amra

Good ,all this explains why I forget which is which .

It makes a huge difference to playing the game ( personally I always felt leaving the inactive players hits made for a better game ),so what is correct ?

Gwydion

As the errata changed p.56 to all units hits being removed I would guess that is the official version but as usual you can always play it as you like if you can persuade your opponents it's a good idea.

The official way of things is:

Remove Outstanding hits from all of the units on the table.
Remove suppression markers from all of the active player's units only.

The rational is that otherwise suppression is meaningless as it never gets carried across to the next players turn.

Thanks for confirming.

I think an errata is needed for p18 then, as this mis-states the removal of hits.
