Just wanting to clarify the rule regarding low profile.  My understanding is as follows:

Troops as defined as Low Profile on p.8 (e.g. infantry) only get the benefit of this when being fired at if they are in certain terrain types or dug-in.

Troops with the Low Profile special ability on p.78 (e.g. StuGs) get the benefit of this whether they're in terrain or not.

Have I got this right?

Correct.
It's a challenge with turretless AFVs - like StuGs (and some other SPGs). They are actually quite large, but if you put them up against something like a Tiger or a Sherman (for example - which much higher profiles) the lack of a turret makes them harder to see & hit.
However, you cannot apply 'turretless' as a general characteristic, as something like an SU152 is massive!
In the case of the StuG we also take into account the fact that the crews were specifically trained to adopt an ambush-type mode of operation.
Cheers

Thanks Mark.  For points minded players like me, that seems to make StuGs pretty good value
- StuG III 7.5cm long for 135 points vs say a an M10 Tank Destroyer which while it doesn't have a limited arc, has identical factors and is exposed, and doesn't have the benefit of low profile.

What did you factor in as a points premium for this special capability?

Cheers, Richard

Limited Arc is quite a significant issue for the StuG. As is Exposed for the M10.
NB: The points system is not as straightforward or linear as it might appear. But Yes, all the Special Characteristics for both AFVs will have been taken into account.
