Martin Parr - Photographer and photojournalist - 23rd May 1952 to 6th December 2025

He changed the way we considered photography - famous for his colourful, brash and natural images of working class Brits in everyday life and at play.
I only saw him in the summer (2025) out with his camera and tripod at the Bristol harbour festival, taking photos of the steaming Jerk Chicken stall on the dockside, with a queue of hungry revelers, dancing to a steel band, awaiting the stalls opening.

A good life and a thoroughly nice bloke.

A really funny guy.
Deserves to be ranked alongside Morecambe and Wise or the Two Ronnies.

Is there any better tribute than "Brought happiness to missions".
