A New Nerd Appears

Just wanted to say hello.  I have been into 10mm thanks to PD for about a little over a year now.  Never before touched them.  Now I love the little slugs of lead.  There is something really relaxing about sorting and mounting them for paint. I still really like 28s, but it's very zen that there is no worry about counting heads and arms.  Assembly is just sorting them, and my brain enjoys that.

I now have boxes full of 12 inch 1/4" dowels with battalions mounted for paint. Even just sitting in a box and waiting, love them. My main focus is 1809 Napoleonics.  My overarching goal is to at some point run Wagram at the army level at a convention.  After that I am excited to go into Egypt, my second favorite campaign.  There are a lot of Pendraken models that can easily cover the Egyptian campaign with some paint.

Anyway.  One thing I miss about the internet from my youth is comfy forums like this.  They rarely exist in any other topic I am in, and not a fan of Reddit and such. Thought it about time to say hello and enjoy it.

Welcome.  I started on 10mm at about the same time but for an earlier period.  It is fun painting them and now feels weird going back to 20mm!  Enjoy the site - and I liked your Saxons.

Well thank you very much!  I likely will at some point.  I barely have enough done for an "army" photo to enter, but as time goes on maybe make a progress thread or proper blog.  Once I actually have someone for the Saxons to fight, there will be battles to write up as well. Plenty to look forward to and part of the fun.
