Borodino 1812 - sort of!

The Shadow of the Eagles rules (napoleonic) by Keith Flint, has a scenario that is based on the Borodino battle, in a more do-able format. Basically there are 6 major defensive features in the battle (i.e. The Fléches). The Scenario lines them up down the centre of a 6' table and  a bath-tubbed order of battle has the French attacking along that front, trying to capture objectives and destroy enemy formations. The Russians are trying to hold onto the objectives and also to inflict casualties.

Anyway, I have been wanting to do this for a while. I have turned to my Epic Warlord Games figures and am playing on a 6' x 3½' space. I havetweaked some of the order-of-battle. I have put afirst post up on the blog that explains all of this ..... better than I am doing here!

An interesting if rather deep bathtub Norm ;)

I've spent a couple of Saturday evening throwing Poles French against the Russians Prussians around Utitza. In a 20mm game using our regular hosts home-grown rules, with the troops he has available. One more session should see a resolution :-SS  X_X
