Welcome to the latest Pendraken newsletter!

We've got a bumper newsletter for you this month with over 100 new Pendraken releases as well as new products from Battlescale and Litko too!

Russo-Japanese range released!

We'll start this month with the first big release of 2023,  our revamped and expanded Russo-Japanese range!

The limited old range has been completely overhauled with two new, fully comprehensive ranges containing all of the infantry, cavalry, artillery and command you'll need, as well as summer/winter options for many of the troop types too.

You can browse all of the new ranges here and we'll be getting some painted pics of these new figures later in the year.

Korean War additions!

Hot on the heels of our The Forgotten War supplement, we've got 67 new releases for our Korean War ranges!

The bulk of these releases are all of the various artillery options for all of the nations, in both summer and winter kit where necessary.  We've also filled a few gaps in the original ranges with the addition of AT rifles, bazooka teams, AA guns and some cavalry for the Chinese.

And finally, we've included a few nice little extras to go with some of the special rules in The Forgotten War.  The Americans get a Smoke Discharger team that can release a handy smoke screen across the table.  And the Chinese get a Psy-Ops team ready to spread propaganda!

Head over to the website here to see the full ranges.

Battlescale 6mm Buildings!

After the successful addition of their 10mm ranges, we're now pleased to announce that we're also stocking all of Battlescale's 6mm buildings too!  We know that a lot of you prefer 6mm buildings with your 10mm games so you can now get everything you need in one place.

We are also now the exclusive source of these buildings for all of Battlescale's European customers, so if you're in the EU you can now order without having to pay any UK VAT on your purchase.

More Litko products!

Our next batch of Litko stock arrived last month and this package contains all of their Flight Pegs along with another selection of the Tokens too.  We'll be getting all of their Flight Stands on our next order, which should be with us towards the end of this month or early July.

You can find more details on the new items here.

Events at Pendraken HQ!

For anyone in the north-east (or further afield!) we've got a couple of events coming up at Pendraken HQ that might be of interest to you:

- Firstly we're having another Book Sale, taking place on Saturday 1st July, with 30% Off our entire stock of books.  There'll be some real bargains in there so make sure to get along if you're able to.

- And three weeks later we'll be throwing open the doors with our Big Summer Games Day!  We'll have 7 different participation games running throughout the day, each being 30-60 minutes long, so you can try all seven in one day if you like.  We'll be adding more info about the games on the Facebook event page, which can be found here.

Phalanx show in St Helens!

We're just about halfway through the show season and our next event will be the Phalanx show on Saturday 17th June, over in St Helens.  As always we'll need your pre-orders sending through at least 7 days in advance, so please get them through to us by midnight on Friday (9th June).

Pre-orders can be placed through the website as normal by choosing the Collect at Show delivery option.

Important Dates

Sat 17th Jun - Phalanx in St Helens (pre-orders before Fri 9th Jun)
Sat 24th Jun - Renatio et Gloriam Magna event at Pendraken HQ

What? What? What? WhatWhatWhat?

Goshdarnit! Now I am in something of a quandry! Having completed the purchase of the Ottoman Napoleonics, I'm contemplating my next project. Some Gentlemen into whose company I have fallen, have persuaded me to the merits of the mid C17 - being me, I'm looking into the Bishops' Wars, but it is coming to Pendraken Ordering Day and frankly, I neeeed to order something.

What then to do? Do I essay the Pike and Shotte, or hang fire until Leon reveals his goodies?*

Ignoring the AWI, the moderns could be the long awaited Chieftain, the FV432,  Abrams, Bradley, S-Tank ... so many, so much ... the Merkava! :o

And what is this "new product lines"? I'm thinking Amazons or Indians, but it could be a double bluff and we'll see remodelled paint stands and Victorian tax collectors in 28mm.

This agony is delicious!

*By that I mean unveils the new range, not a repetition of the Unfortunate Pub Carpark incident of 1993, 1997, 2001 (twice) and several years thereafter.

Selling unlicenced metal figures out of the back of a van is frowned upon in the North-East.

Especially if you're not wearing trousers.

Thought, to be fair, that ballgown did set off the colour of his eyes.

Red.

I now need those "moderns" to be from the Football War of 1969.

Nothing in 10mm I'm afraid, it's some bigger stuff that I'm hoping to have ready to announce in the next month.

I've knocked up a set of rules for low level late C19 commerce just for the 28mm Victorian Tax Collectors. It's called "Tanners to Guineas." Regrettably, this is also the name of my set of rules in which the object is to deport leather workers to West Africa.

Leon's so tight lipped. Clams consider him to be laconic. If you look up the word "taciturn" in the dictionary, there's are definition. The Spanish Inquisition could try both the comfy chair and the soft cushions and Leon would be as quiet as a 6 year old hoping that nobody notices it's past her bedtime. (To be fair, he'd probably have prepared himself for their visit.)

Not so much as a hint. It's amazing. Not only does he keep mum, but he keeps grand-mum as well.

Well, I guess we'll all have to wait.

But no-one expects them to turn up! (Of course by "them" I mean the Spanish Inqusition, not whatever the cold war 10mm vehicles that maybe in the pipeline  :) )

*ahem*  :-B The basic mis-step in your declaration is that "no-one" expects the Spanish Inquisition. Leon is so perceptive, intelligent and downright cool, with senses an urban fox would envy, that he would expect the Spanish Inquisition.

He'd probably give them the Clint Eastwood stare and they'd confess their sins.
