O Dinas Powys

Quote"T-55 chassis & a replica body"

It is according to a recent Tank Museum Youtube video, and a rather convincing job they've done too.

Discussed in this one I believe (at about 20:20):

Fury is first up on the video and the making of gets a mention.
(I know, even though it's fantasy  :o  ;)  )

Raider4

Have enjoyed the first 2 episodes of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, currently showing on Monday nights on ITV4..

Old-fashioned TV vibe, seemingly episodic rather than one long story spread over a whole season.

No relentless ultra-violence, no every third word beginning with an "f" (it just gets a bit tiresome after a while).

It'll probably be on the ITV player program, but I'm content to wait a week for the next one.

Duke Speedy of Leighton

Which series?
Sure they showed series 1 a while back

Series 1. Maybe they did, but it's the first time I've seen it.

Pre-release comment on LAF of Christopher Nolan's new film "The Odyssey" has been somewhat fraught. Hopefully cooler heads will prevail here!

Summary of reactions from the critics who have actually seen it is pretty positive.

Any interest in this here?

I plan to see it, though I do worry that it will lead to a desire to buy lots of Greek hoplites and mythological monsters.

I thought fsn might have picked up on it given that Anne Hathaway is playing Penelope.  :)

I did :)

Not planning to see it even if She Who Must Be Desired is in it. Unlike the rest of the world, apparently, I'm not a Nolan fan.

I find Nolan's oeuvre to be like the Curate's Egg, good in parts!

It seems this might be one of the better parts.

I doubt anyone's life will be much impoverished by missing it however.

Interesting to see if they put the killing of the female slaves near the end in,
or is it a sanitised version.

Thought I would mention an upcoming movie - Sirius. It stars Mads Mikkelsen and the story centres on two members of a Danish special forces team who become ensnared in an international incident while on a mission to one of the coldest and deadliest places on earth. (Only really mentioning it because one of my nephews body doubles for Mads in a scene with a Husky sledge!).

Duke Speedy of Leighton

That's so brilliant!

I'm waiting.for Coyote vs Acme. Meet meep

Set in one of the coldest places on Earth - his scene filmed in a Yorkshire warehouse on one of the hottest days of last summer!
