Contents for Indian Bullock Carts

I have a number of the above for my Indian Mutiny forces.

Looking for any suggestions for items to fill them.  Would the crate of apples in the Dungeon Furniture range fit?

What about the different sized barrels and cannonball stacks from the Renaissance range artillery equipment set (EC 26)?

The boxes of apples are quite big. Might do as boxes of Melons or Breadfruit?

The Dungeon crates are 8mm on a side, and the ones I have have wooden texture on the bottom, so you don't need to show the skulls or apples. 

The contents of EC26 are generally useful for bits of scatter terrain and set dressing

Many thanks for the suggestions.  The quandary is whether the particular items would fit into the carts.
