Personal Alarm

The other day I got a new version of what was, presumably, a scam.

On my answering the telephone, the caller launched immediately into a query of whether I was over 50, in which case I might be entitled to a free personal alarm.  I promptly queried his call and the phone went blank.  Anyone else had a call along these lines?
