Hurrah or Huzzah

Miniatures tend not to be all that vocal,,, but I have long been curious about 'cheers'.
'Modern' usage seems to indicate use of the 'R'... as in "Hip, Hip, Hooray"...
or even "Hoorah, hoorah, hoorah, yeah, yeah!"

Yet many earlier references such as illustrated 'cartoons' etc. spell with 'Z'.

Is this an actual cheer or the result of changing calligraphy / typos, to produce "Huzzah"?

To Me... the 'Z' does not 'roar' enough to inspire!  ;)

Apparently, the current school of thought is that 'Huzzah!' should be pronounced like 'Hooray!' [fast forward to 9.35 if you don't want to watch the whole video]
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
