I have some of the Pendraken versions of these figures, unfortunately I have found that the shako plume breaks away fairly easily and I now have a few of them now without plumes.  I am a bit reluctant to simply not use these figures, and in any case Google images shows examples with both plumes and pompoms.  Does anyone know what the circumstances are for the figure having one or the other as I may paint up a unit with pompoms if many more break off.  Alternatively, can anyone suggest an another use for the figures without the plumes e.g. painted up as an aide-de-camp or possibly a mounted artillery officer?
I'll bring up the rest of the brigade.

All four of my regiments have retained their plumes fortunately but a unit without would be perfectly reasonable. They would be removed for most campaign duty anyway, so likely the most common appearance - early 1809 in shako cover and cloak, wet and miserable would be most common  ;)
