Thanks chaps :). It just came to me when washing up in one of those light bulb moments! Also as a wargamer I'm always on the look out for 'stuff' that might be useful for terrain etc.

@ Orcs: I simply put it in a vice end on, then carefully sawed down one length, turned it round 180 degrees and repeated along the opposite side. For the base I used a cutting disc in a dremel so as not to damage the halves as they are easy to bend when the structure has been cut. Hope this helps?

What a Fab idea Steve - looks great at 10mm - might also work for 6mm I suspect.
