Thanks both

I've now realised how bad the depth of field is on these photos - something to see if I can do anything with.

Cracking, Forbes !  :-bd

You use the camera on your phone, don't you ? :-\

I've always thought that the definition you got with that, was SO good, that you could take the pic from further away....and simply 'blow up' the image on the computer/phone/tablet/whatever.
You get far better definition than I can manage on my so called 'good' camera.

Cheers - Phil

Thanks Phil

Yes, these are shot on an iPhone XR, I do have a proper DSLR but it is far too much trouble to use for these quick end of the evening snaps. One thing I have started doing is using a portable video camera light to give plenty of light to the photos.

Good suggestion about going a bit further back, and cropping in. And in fact one I have given to others previously, but then totally forget to use myself! I'm not sure how many pixels the phone shoots at, but its several times more than are used in a photo here that is less than 1000 px wide.

I thought I would share a picture of my newish (pre-lockdown newish) set of shelves, that I use to store various in progress things.

This started off quite well with just WIP stuff, but now seems to have turned into just another storage area...

On the top shelf are the recently painted Ogres and Wingmen. These are finished they just need some magnetic sheet adding to their bases.

Second shelf - 3 strips of Kerns, 3 strips of Croat musketeers, a couple of LoA commanders, 2 dwarven cannon, and 3 sea creatures. All of these are at least actually WIP. But have been sat around a while.

Third shelf - Italian armour and infantry which are finished other than magnetic sheet. 3 strips of desert infantry.

Bottom shelf - all sorts, 28mm WoTR, epic, 10mm walls, gas lands dice. These have all been sat here for months.

I've also got a lid from a RUB to the side with various other bits on it. 4 strips o dwarves, 3 gyrocopters, all the command figures seen above, the 60mm round bases and another dwarven cannon

I'm not sure why I am so much better at starting projects than finishing them

Looking good Fred.

I was under the impression that there was no such thing as a finished project anyway...

Fair point. In this context I was using project to only refer to each if the small sets of figures, rather than the whole army. Task or Group might have been a better term to use than Project.

Yeah fair enough. No doubt you'll get to them eventually when the mood takes you  :D

Nice collection to add to the lead pile.

That's something of a mix - a Comet, Nap British Rifles, Senegalese, Italian Command Truck ...  what's the project?  ;)

Nice collection to add to the lead pile.

A good few additions (see below) but mainly MDF, to add to the MDF drawer.

Umm, Dr Who??

Good spotting. You missed the Nap French though. The main project is the start of some Naps skirmish, al la Sharpe. The Senegalese and Italian bits are to round out projects that are in-flight. The Comets are to prove that a NWE project is never finished.

The Comets do look really nice models!

I've got most of the Naps (and WWI French) undercoated this afternoon, and also built the movement trays for FKaP, and stuck the large 75mm bases on a couple of giants for KoW.
