Thanks Leon; my mental arithmetic skills seem to have gone astray! I blame the unaccustomed heat here in the Higlands - fried my brain.

Where ARE the Higlands? I fancy myself as well-travelled, but ye've got me there, laddie!

Please add the following to my order.

1 x NPP1   Line infantry in barretina, march attack
1 x NSP11   Provincial Infantry in Chistera Hat, march attack (c1809-1813)

I scrounging for 1809 types here. Maybe John Cook can confirm how appropriate the uniforms might be for shenanigans in Austria and Germany in 1809.

I'm thinking of the Portuguese for the Portuguese Legion, and the provincial infantry in chistera hat for Austrian Landwehr in similar top hat. The Spanish, though, may have their cartridge pouches in front rather than behind - which would otherwise be marvellous for the Tirailleurs Corses that are on my list to convert!

Cheers, Michael

Hi Michael,

I don't really think so, without some modification.  The chistera doesn't have the turned up brim characteristic of the Corsehut worn by Austrian Landwehr.  The Portuguese line might do as surrogates for the Portuguese Legion but I think you'll need to add fringed epaulettes and short swords.
