A sad loss

I first met Richard at Aylesbury war games club when I moved to Tring.  He helped me settle in the club and we were soon firm friends.  I often helped him at shows running his bookstall and have many fine volumes on my shelf are thanks to his generosity.
He was board gaming every Wednesday afternoon right up to the end.  Despite knowing he did not have long, each afternoon was full of banter and laughter.  that's how I will remember him.
