However, recent newspaper reports indicate a worldwide shortage of band-aids, alluding to a secret cache somewhere in the western part of Wales ...

Indeed, I would advocate that we all put a band aid on in solidarity with our forum chums. However, recent newspaper reports indicate a worldwide shortage of band-aids, alluding to a secret cache somewhere in the western part of Wales ...

I've still got a good few left ! (Wanna buy some?)

Obligatory comment about the phallic nature of tanks.
Encumbered by Idjits, we pressed on

Insult to Nobby because the ONE thing that doesn't fit on thread is Centurion Tanks.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

I am afraid that The Centurion tank had lots of threads, in fact every nut and bolt in its constructon had a thread (Probably Imperial or  Whitworth)on it, and even the barrel was rifled so that is a thread of sorts!

Perhaps we should be discussing the pros and cons of  various thread Standards To name but a few

British Association screw threads (BA)
British standard brass thread
British Standard Cycle
British standard fine thread (BSF)
British standard pipe thread (BSP)
ISO metric screw thread
Unified Thread Standard (UTS, including UNC, UNF, UNS and UNEF)

I never knew (or TBH cared) there were so many!

I am sure someone on the forum can get excited about them ! - Cue Nobby

You know when people tell you to get screwed?  This isn't what they meant.

Though I'd never try it......Because I'm sure I'd 'do it wrong', and end up doing exactly that.....When Mr Neck has had a damn good whinge, in the past, I'd thought about trying to find a neck brace...inserting a couple of strong ring hooks in the sides, and then 'dangling' to stretch my neck.

Like I say....I'm not going to try that.
Mr Neck has been fairly good until recently, but in the last week it's really been playing silly sods.

Cheers - Phil
