Captain's log, star date whatever.

With every tile i cut, i feel my sanity depart my brain.

With every tile i glue down, i feel anger welling up inside me.

Don't send help, i'll be lost by the time it gets here.

Sooooo decided to get cracking on that city board. Thought it would look great with paving  stones on the sidewalks,  regretting every moment  ;D ;D

Quite a few left to do!

petercooman

And done!

Time to call it a night. Will see if i can start painting tomorrow. curious how it will work out.Hope the tiles won't warp wen painted!

I empathise, I've just finished cutting out about 300 15x15mm counters, should have included them in my ECW order ~X(

I've painted and labeled the first 117 of them

Managed to paint the board black. Hopefully i can get it finished this evening!

Now to decide if i paint it completely in grey tones or make a garden or 2.

petercooman

Got the basic paintjob done.

I'll try to do some detailing/weathering later. maybe road markings.

I'll have to come back and have a look-see later.

Taking forever for the pic to show.  :(

Thanks all!

I'll have to blend a bit where the two boards come togheter. One side is considerably lighter on the pavement.

Went a little overboard with the weathering  ~X( ~X(

Guess it'll have to do. A post apoc board needs to look scruffy anyway!

Yeah, once you get a game going all that "overdone" weathering will fade into the background.

I was thinking more like, once i fill the streets with rubbish and abandoned cars  ;D ;D

petercooman

So, still unhappy with my city board, i decided to make a last ditch attempt to 'make it right' for me, and applied a heavy wash on the street, to tie it all in. (was not that exited to do a wash on a cardboard surface, that's why i didn't do it immediately, but i thought what the heck i'll see how it goes)

So far i'm pretty satisfied! i'll report back when it's fully dry!

petercooman

Ok boys, it's a wrap!

Pretty happy with it now! MAde myself a quick stencil out of paper, and drybrushed some lines on the road, makes it pop IMHO.

On to the next project!!
