How big do you like your bridges?

We're working with John from Ironclad on some more bridges, so what size span do people prefer?  The new wooden bridge has two spans of around 40mm-ish each, is that about right for everyone?

Next in the pipeline will be a stone arch bridge we think, with a couple of spans again.

For the stone arch bridge a radius (or semi major axis) of around 20 - 25mm would work well. Width of 30mm (like wooden bridge) is good, 40mm would be better but might not look right proportionally. What I would really like to see is a base set with two ramps and one arch with the option to buying arches singlely (although this might effect your production costs).  However you would decide to package I would definitely be a buyer.

Our club rivers are mostly 100mm wide, so.....

Most of my bases are 30mm x 30mm, so a 30mm "flat spot" at the top would be fandabbydozy!

I'd fancy a few that were a bit over 4cm wide. In resin.

Out of interest, has anyone else modified a bridge by sawing it in two (lengthways), putting a new surface on top and filling in the rest underneath, to fit the width of their bases? Just a thought for future bridge design.   :-B
I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Would fit most warmaster variants pretty well i suppose. Maybe YOu guys can offer the 15mm one by ironclad miniatures as well? Wouldn't look to out of scale iguess. (i use ironclad 15mm trenches and they look fine with pendraken models)

I really like the design method used on the wooded bridge. The 2 spans with a middle section lends itself to shortening and also lengthening (see below).  :)

Width of 30mm is perfect for me. Isn't 40mm used for 15mm bridges?

If possible I would like to see the stone bridge with a destroyed section as an option and also a destroyed section with planking laid across as a further option.

It would also be useful to be able to buy extra spans and middle sections to lengthen the bridges.

As the next bridge, can we have a pontoon bridge, like used at Aspern and Wagram in 1809?
