Finished basing the last batch of Germans, including reflocking the bases that hadn't dried due to cold. Just the guns to mount tonight.

Base coated the Hussar horses and the infantry, will paint the dismounted Hussars at the same time as the mounted to help with consistency.

Weather still cold and damp so no varnishing or pictures

The forecast snow did arrive but only on the hill tops, not the best painting weather. Dry brushed all the Hussar horses.

Manes, tails & hooves done. Also dry brushed the infantry uniforms.

Have done the Hussar's jackets and trousers and everyone's boots 

Finally a break in the weather, it has reached 12 degrees (Celsius) with some sunny periods, just as forecast, ideal for varnishing.

By some strange coincidence I'm off sick from work today

Keep forgetting it's the depths of winter over with you. Oh, and three words on the sickie front - lower back pain. No one can prove or disprove it.

A standing desk is very good for lower back pain and makes it very obvious to all there is an issue.

The brown and the green on the rear of the bases are a great improvement. The whole project looks really excellent.
