Title: 7YW Standard bearers
Post by: Martyn on 21 March 2010, 02:19:04 PM
I've never liked the cast on flags that come with the packs so I've resorted to cutting of the muskets on the "march attack" pose cutting a notch in the hands then gluing a pin in place using Araldite rapid 90 seconds glue, which fills over the notch. Remember to snip the head and point off the pin first.

i believe pendraken does a generic standard bearer without sculpted flag may save you some time.  Model #SYW13 in the SYW Miscelaneous catagory but I have to agree I wish they did not mold the flags I like paper flags better I am having similar issues with the Sudan figs.  I am contemplating using a spearman in the same way for the Mahdis forces.

As Capt Verbeek says, there are the Generic Standard Bearers in the SYW range, code SYW13.  A lot of people don't like the cast on flags, and when they're hanging around the pole, it makes it very difficult to cliip them off, so we got the flag-less ones done.  It also means we can sell more flags!

You going to extend your range of flags to SYW?

I've just checked the site and noticed that the SYW flags aren't there?  They'll be on the new site, coming very soon!

I've not seen the generic standard bearer but I believe this was only added recently. Any chance of a pic?
