As deep as you want to dig them, or as far as your garden will allow  :) :)

Thanks, I think. 🤔. I will try to be a little clearer.

I am looking at these ramparts to use with my 15mm figures. I was asking about the depth to see if they would look ok.

I await more 'useful' replies. 😜

Are you looking for info on how deep into the ground the rampart looks like it's been dug, or the "depth" of the base compared to the "width" of the base?

For 40 mm wide ancients I made ramparts that are 20 mm deep, with a scuplted edge 3-4 mm high, and used painting to make the pit darker than the edges to make it appear deeper.

Cheers,
Aksu

Sorry Chad, Facepalm - you must have been talking about the Pendraken small and large ramparts...
I'll get my coat.

I am looking for the internal depth/height of the front of the earthen rampart and if 15mm figures would not look out of place behind it.
There are models around but these very often include wooden supports of one kind or another and I am looking for fieldworks that look slightly more temporary

I'll have a check but I think they're somewhere around 8-10mm internal height at the front of the dugout.
