These are really good Will, amongst your best, nice one :-bd
Absolutely love the pike and shot unit ;)
:-bd =D> :-bd
Resistance appears to be futile :-\
They are lovely figures (well anything by Clib is) and what a great name for a unit. I hope they stop for a break in the battle at around 3.30pm ;)?
I love s good slice of tiffin, had to have that unit!
Nice work. Look forward to seeing these expand

Lovely work. Unlike me you seem to be able to grab a project by the throat and see it through.
Lovely work, although I disagree about the the name - Ogelthopre's Blues is much better. And they still exist.
IanS ;)
Lovely work, absolutely brilliant :-bd
Great work!
I just can't get over what some of you guys can do with 10mm...

Lordy, what's the collective noun for second Lieutenants? 3 in a row :o
A praise of...
Thanks guys.
Next batch started last night.
Nice job on those Lemmey, i do like the bigger unit, i'm trying to do a regiment per week in between jobs as i'm getting withdrawal symptoms ;D. Not heard of that tiffin bloke before, i'll keep an eye on your progress and might nick some of your regiments. I have lots of French uniform pictures if you need some. Looking forward to seeing more.

Kev:
Google the 27th Inniskilings;)
Nice one mate, found some great uniform info, cheers for that.

I don't know anything about the League of Augsburg or Zaccariah, Tiffin, but I must say these look great Lemmey. Though I don't need any inspiration (to get into new periods), I've got way too much going on as it is ;)
V/R,
Jack
Nice - it makes me realise that I have based my cavalry too close together, yours look better having a tad more space to 'breathe'
I was planning 5 to a base like my Roman cavalry, but I felt in a 30mm base they looked too squashed.
Same for 10 shot to a base, i ended up with 8 in the end.
Plus Clibinarium's beautiful sculpts need a little more space because of their variety, sure I'm breaking field regulations but it's what felt right at the time! :)
Absolutely terrific, Will ! :-bd
Missed these earlier...Sorry !!
Cheers - Phil

Don't usually squash mine together, but 17th-century ironsides five on a 4cm frontage do look about right; sure the same would go for Pappenheimers.
Very nice, Will, very nice. Cracking name 8)
You have made a really nice job of those. I am continuously teemted by this range.
Do you have a set of rules you intend to use with them Lemmey?
They will be used with FogR to start, probably use them in BP too, but Nigel Emsen is working on something too...
Great work, Will. Colourful bunch, aren't they. 8)

So that's the Famous League of Ausberg!
Where are the goat drivers, ammunitions casters and fusilier with an unpleasant rash?
Seriously though, they look really good. Well done, Sir. I take my floppy hat that isn't really a tricorne yet off to you.

I went for 10 foot on a 40x20 base and 4 cavalry on a 40x30 base.
Foot wise units are 54/55 strong but I do like the look!

Agree completely!
Mind you, he gets enough practise...the man's a machine! :)
Just beautiful - not just the painting but the basing too, so much life and movement on the base.
Mollinary. :-bd :-bd
They look great. I think the basing is what lifts them from very-good to great. :)
I cannot do it, how do you get the bases like that?
Rob :)
First off:
Play with figure placement on bases, what works.
Sand, pva, leave to dry.
Brown wash, leave to dry
Google River Boyne battlefield, look at soil colours (yes I am that sad)
Dry brush beige brown
Lighter, interment dry brush of brown earth
Pick out stones/boulders in stonegrey
Wash in PVA/water mix, leave to dry
Flock in summer green
Clump and scatter
Leave to dry.
Basing can take as long as painting these days!
I think you should go the whole hog, and omit the figures.
They only spoil the view of the bases!
Great work!

Thanks for taking the time to do this. Very impressive. :)
Great looking figures.
However. What? You don't use flexible filler to level the area around the figure bases? Colour me shocked!
I suspect I'm the only person on the planet who feels like this but I really, really, really don't like dyed flock and scatter on a base with painted figures, it just looks wrong to me. So, once I've glued on the flock and it's dry, I flood it with paint and then give it a dry brush (or two) of highlight.
Otherwise I do much what you do - down to looking at photos to get an idea of what the ground looked like.
Sand and PVA levels nicely.
Sometimes it takes two goes. 8)
If anyone wants a copy of the 10mm LoA period flags I have created so far send me a PM with your email address

Excellent sources in English with lots of colour plates etc.

not on every street in Belfast depends on what foot the residents dig with lol

Life Guards (Pendraken Banners) I know they didn't wear armour in 1690, but such cool figures, it's hard to resist!

Well done that man =D>
Thanks Paul
Looks great. Really like the carriage vignette!
Very nice indeed
Take care

Great stuff, Will.
I know what you mean about the Cuirassiers, I'm sticking a few in each unit, to represent chaps who still retained some armour. But they do look good as a whole unit.
The coach is brill - consider this idea stolen as I'm pretty sure I have all the figures used sitting in the lead mountain.
Looking good and nice coach base as well!

They lost 17-8, broke 14/17 of Pete's Mapuche, but I lost 12/12. Lessons learned, Danes suffer vs Heavy foot, cavalry suffers against hockey stick wielding psychos!
Looks really good
Take care
Andy

Most Trump supporter sites claim to.
Apostrophe warning
If anyone wants these, I'm thinking about selling them
