Hi everyone 10 milling out there. Had a couple of false starts with 10mm, then a couple of years ago bought a copy of Minden Rose (& Years War in Europe) which is evidently designed for 28mm, but a quick scanning showed it to be a stand based game, so using 25mm square bases for infantry and 30mm square for cavalry I invested in a Pendraken Austrian army. What a revelation They look fantastic and the table looks as though it has two armies on it rather than a few toy soldiers. So now 10mm has taken off at the Liverpool club using Bruce Weigle's 1859/1864, 1866 and 1870 rules. At present putting together French, German(Prussian and Bavarian) and 1866 Austrians (someone else doing the 59s). Soon be ready for the actual scrapping. FOW Blitzkrieg looks interesting and could be another 10mm venture.
Cheers to all 10mm gamers,
Dour Puritan
Hi there, welcome to the Forum!
Have you got some links to the Club?
Dour:
I assume you live in Liverpool England and not Liverpool NY, USA.
Oh well.
Dale Williams
I'll bet anyone who lives in Liverpool, N.Y. always puts Liverpool, N.Y. I suppose (guess in American) that's why we just say Rome and not Rome Iddally. Incidentally where is this other Rome which is so easy to confuse with the centre (center in US0 of the once proud Mediterranean classical civilisation?
Hi DP
:D
Sut mae Maenoferren,
Dych'in siarad Cymraeg? Are you local to Liverpool and looking for a game? Involved in a SYW 10mm game down the club which is losing a participant on Thursday.

The name comes from when I worked on the Ffestiniog Railway, needed a name for a forum and all the ones I wanted had been chosen so picked this one.
I Live up on Shetland now so LIverpool is a tad too far away 12 hour ferry crossing to begin with, but luckliy I like going on the boat ;D THanks for the offer though

Actually, Rome NY is only about a hour from my house in Marietta, New York. The town next to us is Borodino NY! Back in the 80's when I was first out of college I lived in Lodi, NY then purchased my first house in Waterloo, NY! :D
All very Napoleonic and all just happened that way.
Hi Moose,
Was having a bad day and I'm not usually that grumpy. I suppose we have Washington, Co.Durham, and I know there's a New Zealand in Derby (which for some obscure reason is pronounced Darby in this country). So, what are your wargaming peccadillos?
DP
H DP,
Not sure if my first message was sent as the attached pic was too big. Just a quick hello from a fellow 10mm gamer from Liverpool, as in the proper one and not some pale colonial imitation.
Hi Travellingred,
Any chance of getting down the club for a game? It's the metal door on Davies Street, off Dale Street. Unless of course you're already a club member and I don't recognise your tag.
TTFN, DP
