As a warm up to my school 10mm campaign, I had my first game of Hail Cheesy in about two years...
A good friends 12 year-old son has been busy building Imperial Romans, so I broke out my 25mm Marian Romans for a Civil War.
This army hasn't seen daylight in five years, and was painted whilst my wife was pregnant with our eldest, 9 years ago! Should have taken some super glue, lots of shields and pila had fallen off!!!
Legionary vs Legionary was always going to be bloody, but my skirmishes slowed him down long enough for me to pick my fights and win! His two elite units and General were taken out by one normal legionary unit of mine! His average morale dice was 5! Not good in Hail Caesar!!
Photos, taken on iPhone, so a bit of an experiment here!
A bold advance by the Imperialist

First clashes cleared my skirmishes, but at some losses to the Imperial Infantry.

The slugfest went my way, the Spanish mercenaries bounced the Imperial Cavalry, and the Marian Infantry pushed back the Imperials until the elite were taken apart by a single Marian unit!
