Herewith some shots of my 10mm ACW armies:

A few things to point out...
- Not all the figures are Pendraken. I won't go into the reasons for that but my advice is to stick with Pendraken if at all possible. They are robust and the detail is more defined and easier to paint.
- The figures that are Pendraken are not from the current range. I bought and started painting these a few years ago.
For the painting technique I am indebted to Nik Hardwood of this parish, and despite some misgivings at times, it produces a good result IMO. I would certainly consider using it again for close-packed figures in 10mm or smaller.

Very nice, the painting technique seems to stand up to the close ups fairly well ;)
I like the irregular / regular contrast between the Confederates / Union. I am doing something similar for my AWI forces.
Very nice work, Doc.

Nicely done, Doc.
QuoteI resent having to paint horses
You could always move to moderns. :)
For WW2 if I had the opportunity to depict, say, horsed transport, I'd make an exception!
