Well It's Back the best 10mm miniatures poll, and as always only you can decide. Choose your favourite Manufacturer from the list on the right hand side of the Blog page and give them a click to register your vote. This year the period scale we looking at is from Ancients to Napoleonic, please keep this in mind when you vote. The poll will be up for two weeks, as always I will check and count votes daily as you know sometimes Blogger polls can switch off for no reason!? (if this occurs I will reset with votes already counted)
Heres the link:-

Thanks for voting, if you do.

Done. :)

Voted :). No guesses as to whom my vote went to :D.
I think apart from Kallistra the other companies apart from Pendraken have been very quiet this year when it comes to releases
Voted!
Cheers,
Rob
You've left out Newlines. They're very good.

That would be Bend Sinister

The Newlines Napoleonics are rather nice right enough, though.
Same company? I don't see any reference to their ancients.
Oops! My bad. :-[
I thought Bend Sinister had all of the Newline 10mm but it looks like they only have the Napoleonics and Newline Designs have the Ancients.
Hi,
Every year I add manufacturers to the list but unfortunately some do slip through the net and get missed, hence me posting on the Blog and elsewhere previously if there are any not on my links list to let me know before I put the poll up. So I apologise now for any manufacturers not on this year's list.
Regards,
Jason
There are others :o ?
Can I ask why you decided to stop at Napoleonic? Why not just every 10mm manufacturer?
I had no idea half these companies existed. And why do the majority specialise in ancients?
Hi,
QuoteCan I ask why you decided to stop at Napoleonic? Why not just every 10mm manufacturer?
There are a few reasons for this , in previous years I've said the best 10mm Manufacturer overall and I listed all the ones I could find and then the flood gates opened for the complainers saying "you've not listed this manufacturer or that manufacturer or " ..my mate who makes great sci fi half mechanical, half plant 10mm tanks with topless MILF's with cracking tits driving them, in his garage should be on the list" etc etc.
So the year after I said up to WWII and still complaints also the voting appeared slightly bias towards manufacturers who produce WWII which I felt didn't seem right as I wanted to try and give a chance to as many companies as possible and I felt this was the best way to do it. I have asked for other peoples thoughts and suggestions in the past but input has been NIL...until the poll is under way and then everyone has an opinion. So I give a period scale try and get as many on the list as possible ask others for their input(NIL) and go with that. :)
QuoteAnd why do the majority specialise in ancients?
I guess its the main period to find an opponent to game against and I think Romans come the top of the list because in one guise or another they fought everyone(?) So that's the period that sells most(?) just my 2p
Jason.
Its mostly ancients because of Warmaster both ancients and fantasy
Most of our past is ancients.
One of my History teachers used to say that it was far easier to teach World War Two, that he'd lived through, than the Roman Invasion of Britain ... which he'd lived through.
I'm beginning to know how he felt :)
