Title: DIY Fields
Post by: Nosher on 02 April 2014, 10:19:17 AM
I was in the Range this morning picking up some bits for the Guinea Pigs and noticed they are selling 24"x24" rubber backed carpet tiles in various colours for £2.49.

I have all the fields I could ever want, but if people were looking for a bargain DIY project....

Those are 50x50 not 24" x 24" - major chop job to get to fit an imperial system.

It's still 20" square - I'd be chopping them into four, ish, unless I went irregular sized...

Greetings

Thanks for the tip.  I'd never heard of the company but apparently there's a store about 5 miles away!

Poundland sell 3 of 30 x 30 dark brown corded, self adhesive tiles for...wait for it...£1. Bit of a dry brush and you've got all the ploughed fields you can eat. (No pictures yet but watch this space, I'm making some terrain at the mo.) They look thinner than those from the Range but next time I'm passing I might have a gander. 9 of 50 x 50 seems a bit overkill to me -unless you want to recreate a whole county's worth of fields, of course.
