'Every little helps', 'Just Do It' and 'Beanz Meanz Heinz' are all ingrained into our subconscious, so what slogan would you give to Pendraken?
I've bounced around a few ideas over the years, but nothing's ever felt quite right, so I thought I'd throw it open to suggestions! Try and keep them sensible for the first couple of pages at least... :D
I guess "P-p-p-pick up Pendraken" might result in lawsuits :) *

PENDRAKEN
The One True Scale
Never down south of the border! ;)
Hello
Offered for your consideration:-
Cheers
GrumpyOldMan :D :D :D :D :D :D
"On a 10 point scale, we are on top"
William
"On this scale, we are a 10"
Sounds a little bit better than my first post maybe...lots of possible permutations with puns.

"Size isn't everything" :-[ ;).
Some excellent thoughts there !

"Everything for the wargamer - except Aztecs."
"Hand made by Northern casting dwarves."
"We know our Assyrian from our Longbow" (Can't use that one - no chariot armies!)
... I'm sure I'll think of some others. What do you want the slogan to do? Tell us how good 10mm is? How good Pendraken is? Highlight the unique selling points of Pendraken? To whom is the slogan addressed?
Because it looks right.
"We can't guarantee victory - but you can lose with style."
"Break your enemy - not your bank"
A superhuman being or spirit worshipped as having power over nature or human fortunes own scale
"Detail and range at an affordable price"
Maybe in Latin so it sounds better!
"Never mind the height, feel the quality"
"There's no other Pendraken!" (I'll get my coat).

History in miniature.
Fixed it for you Fenton :)
This is a tagline you are looking for.
It must define what you do in a positive manner and possibly, must point out your difference with the others company.
I'd say, "miniatures" is kind of a tagline already.
Maybe a 10 mm before ?
"Pendraken
10mm miniatures"
A slogan is something to advertise a particular product.
Specially for one -
"Pendraken - 10mm Centurions (and some other stuff)"
Pendraken..."Nearly half an inch of pure joy"

Thanks for all the suggestions so far, we're looking for something simple and modest, nothing too 'We're awesome!' or 'We're better than everyone else!' as I'm not keen on that kind of advertising.
We've got the logo, so it's something to sit neatly underneath. On previous magazine adverts, I've gone with '3500 products in over 200 ranges', but that's not really a proper slogan.
Pendraken...
From Phalanx to Falklands
Oo, I like that get2grips!
I don't...He's always being horrid to me. ;) :P
No....Seriously.....That's quite a good one !

Problem with "Phalanx to Falklands" is we'll never get the chariot armies, and we have the SF ranges. However, I do like the alliteration.
Problem (or not) with "A Perfect 10" is that when you google it you get ...

This one is nice, but I'm not keen on 'figures', it sometimes gets lost in translation outside the UK, where folk use 'miniatures' more often.
:-\ :-\ :-\
How about "small scale - big armies" then?
In my magazine I have an article "smaller scale - bigger fun" :-\
(http://www.michaelscott.name/10mm/forum/Penlogo02.jpg)
Or 'Smaller soldiers - Bigger armies'?
Note that as the slogan comes under the company name so 'Miniatures' is already front and centre.
Regards
Edward
Go on, you know you want too.
We've been chatting through the options this afternoon, and while we all like 'History in miniature', it doesn't work so well when you've already got 'Miniatures' written above it in the logo.
How about this:
I always refer to 10mm
As

bit controversial I know but that's me all over.

Trouble is it could apply to anyone from Oddzial Osmy to William Britain's whereas "Choice Quality Service" are reasons to choose Pendraken in particular.
A good strap line is a simple and valued way of bringing in new customers.
Why use anything that is so generic as to be bland? Anything that could be used by a carpet fitter on the High Street.
Get in there and stake your claim! 10mm wargaming! Enter the world of 10mm. Pendraken is everything 10mm, is uniquely 10mm, has the widest choice of 10mm.

To be fair, the actual suggestion was "Choice, quality, service ... and a forum full of barmpots."
I saw it as a "motto for the bottom of the logo" rather than an "advertising slogan".
In a deep chocolate voice
"Pendraken. When your table is too narrow for a flanking attack. When your Tiger can't hit the T34 it's touching. When you feel the need to get more elevation in your helicopter view. Pendraken. When a brigade just isn't enough. 10mm is the answer, and Pendraken knows what you want, because since 1992 Pendraken has been the name in 10mm gaming. Whether you see yourself as Shaka, Soult, Sosabowski or even Saruman, Pendraken puts you in charge. Lead the way to Pendraken, 10mm gaming at it's best."
High pitched Brummie
"Oi spent a fortune on Lynx, and couldn't get a girl-friend. Despondent, I went to Salute and bought a Dark Elf Army Pack. Now, I have a girlfriend who's not made up."
In a deep chocolate voice

If we combine that with an earlier one:
"History in 10mm"
Because you can get away with less detail than you need with 15mm. ;)
"Quality, Choice, Service" somehow sounds better to me than, "Choice, Quality, Service". It has a better rhythm to it.
My second choice would be, " Pendraken - History of the world in 10mm"
Yes, Quality, Choice, Service runs better and sort of describes the purchasing experience.
A new customer likes the quality of the figures (NEEDS MORE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE THOUGH!).
Said new customer then has the massive range to make their choice from.
New customer then gets mightily impressed with the service they receive.
Just don't have a "mission statement" :-& though - I'm sure many of us get more than enough of that particularly vomit-inducing corporate twaddle at work, no need for it in our hobby!

Not so keen on the "History in 10mm" as it ignores the SF and fantasy ranges, and the forthcoming 1946.
I mention this as these ranges are vital weapons in the battle to deprogram younglings from the Cult of the Evil Empire.

Smaller Miniatures - Bigger Battles
All who have proposed slogans do so b/c we like Pendraken. There are other 10mm manufactures out there, and Pendraken comes to mind first, at least to me. This is because Pendraken is the best in 10mm. We all have our own definitions for best. For me, it is a combination of value, service, quality of sculpts, and a vast range. In the in, regardless of the reason, Pendraken is my choice, or the best choice for 10mm miniatures.

Pringles , once you pop you just can't stop!
Pop means ejaculate in Austria...
Hmm, I hope the Austrian I'm courting doesn't expect too much non-stop Pringling from me at my age. ;)
QuoteI like skirmishes!
So do I and play Dux Britaniarum, Saga and Empire of the Dead BUT I prefer the sweep and grandeur of a big battle which unless you have the resources of the Perrys is almost impossible to do in 28mm (12 blokes taking a flag for a walk IS NOT a battalion).
So it's 28mm for skirmishes, 15mm for those who don't know any better and/or haven't discovered 10mm, 10mm for exciting, facinating and spectacular battles and 6mm as textured counters. ;)
I will now go and hide behind the sofa.
