Hi

One more post and I`m a captain how many till I become a Major.

I think the new system has been imposed now hasn't it? You'll have to wait until a senior member dies, resigns or commits an atrocious act and is dismissed before anyone else can be promoted.

I believe there is a little black book in which those about to be cashiered are noted. Fortunately, it's pretty full.

The forum does resemble an 18th century French army, doesn't it? Hundreds of underemployed senior officers milling around hoping a few privates will be added to the mix to give them something to do.
