...how much do you spend each month on this hobby?
Looking at my orders with Pendraken and other companies, I seem to be spending an average of around £45 per month, almost all of it online. I hadn't realised it was "so much" but there again, I don't smoke and rarely drink, so, (no matter how much SWMBO might tut), there are more expensive vices I could be hooked on.
About the same.
Same. May be a little more if Leon isn't off getting married.
Monthly spends vary dramatically. I'm keeping a running total of all gaming related stuff on my Blog, so should have a pretty good idea by years end. I won't even hazard a guess until then :-S.
£75.98 so far in 2014 on figures, terrain, a boardgame (2nd hand copy of Terra Mystica) and some Lego-style Dr Who figures
Varies, so far this year about £900 :o on figures, scenary, painted figures terrsain etc, CO moans a bit, but i am quick to point out that i do not smoke or drink so probably saving her some money ;D
Erratic but probably averages around the £60 a month mark; usually in HUGE chunks though.
My wallet is usually about £50 - £100 lighter at the start of each month, if I don't spend it at that time then I'll either smoke or drink it.
Hard to say, but about 20 to 30 pounds on average a month over the last 6 months. Though much higher a year ago before the job front got worse.
Without trumpet blowing I have sh*tloads of stuff already painted and a mountain to paint so if I don't buy another figure from here to Armageddon I won't get them all done so my expenditure last year was only about £50. This year it will go up a bit because I'm looking to possibly get some 10mm early WWI French and Germans later on in the year. So far this year I've spent about £25, mostly on ancillary stuff like paint, flock, glue etc. All my Polish Medieval were bought for me as prezzies which I think is the way forward.
Bought a ruleset for £35 earlier this year and thats it. Nothing really grabbing me at the moment and even if it was I dont have the funds to go mad anyway!
So far this year about £ 250.00, mostly Adler ACW and 1809 Austrians, a couple of rules sets and magna-strip from Magnetic Displays and MDF bases from Mini bits. I have an order to place for some Dutch WSS cavalry from Ebor to round off the Allied army (already have the French finished...absolutely beautiful figures to paint). After they are done I will be back to the Pendraken SYW that I started last year....Maybe French or Reichsarmee, haven't decided , but, knowing me probably end up doing both!! :-[
It does vary dramatically. If I am starting a new project I buy the complete army of enough terrain to do most of what I need. then its bits to fill gaps.
I was going to say about £50 a month on average, then I looked at my Paypal accounnt :-S With what I spent at the York show this year is already about £350. Fortunately about half of this is from stuff I have sold on Ebay. But the club is just starting a SAGA campaign. I can probably put together the warband, but then I am lookig at Measuring sticks, Dice and Rules .
However compared to my other hobbies its cheap
Somewhere between £30 and £40 I'd say. Like Andy, I don't smoke and very rarely drink and, as I point out to my other half, I don't buy clothes every other week. And it keeps me off street corners. ;)
About £20 a month and a big blow out at Salute.
I think so far its 7.85
Up to now I reckon I have spent about £420 this year, mind you £350 was provided by selling my Games Workshop Space Wolves army and the last few bits of my Warhammer 40000 terrain :D
Wait a minute. Do you just mean Pendraken or on books, paints etc?

The lot from wherever you get it, miniatures, books, paint, brushes, bases, flock, sand, storage boxes, painting station/area, rules, dice, etc., etc.
If you wish, you can add in subs for gaming clubs, travel expenses and any other odds and ends but my original thought was, "How much am I supporting the miniature manufacturing industry to get the armies I want?"

I reckon I single handedly funded Leon's honeymoon with my sale purchases :D
so far my return to u.k. have cost me 450.00...plus...but i only spend once every 6 months...
I've just had a quick look at PayPal, and for 2014 its at around £200*, a mix of figures and rules - half of that to Pendraken.
* I can't be bothered to add it up properly, and its in 3 currencies!!

You're married now: even if it used to, it won't any more :d :d :d
I figure I spend about $100-150/month on figures, rules, terrain, paint, etc.
It's certainly cheaper than golf!
Bathing in Chateau Laffitte's cheaper than golf! ;)
Depends where you play. ;)

Suddenly I realise that they are going on about when the golf fans on the telly are shouting "Get in the hole"
Illustrates everything I think about golfers.
Only skiers are worse.
There must be a joke about the piste in there somewhere....
Removing it perhaps ?
IanS
where can I buy this ,it would be great for my guests... 8)
Does the putter extend.....Or can you only use it sitting down ?
I ask purely for information. :D

Rules of golf apply Phil
No fiddling with your niblick whilst on the toilet
... and you can only have one ball in play?
That's what I call self-control.
I cant remember the rules for a dropped shot though
Plus one on the hole!

You can play a provisional (extra ball) at any time......
Usually only when you think you've lost the original....Or it's gone out of bounds.
(Saves you walking all the way back where you played the previous shot.)
You can also play two balls if you think that you may have broken a rule ....But aren't sure.....You play, and note the scores with both balls and check with a rules' 'lawyer' at the end of the round to check which score should count.
Never EVER seen anybody do that though.
For what should be a very simple game......The rules can get
very confusing sometimes.
I still wish I could go out and swing the golf bats about, every so often. :(
Cheers - Phil

Of course what you do in the privacy of your own bathroom is up to the individual

;D ;D ;D
Not privacy per se, however, FSN's webcams will be working overtime ;)
I was going to say nothing this year, but note I bought 8 'Really Useful Box' trays in Jan (£24), and £30 on stuff to make scenery for 7TV. The odd pot of paint. I haven't bought figures for ages I think

Shame on you! :D
Varies hugely.
This year i spent about 350 € i think in total, mostly on x-wing miniatures (well 250 to be exact) and a copy of memoir, some ringwraiths and paints/cardsleeves etc.
I did have a 450 € blowout around crisis in november though :D
And last year on pendraken stuff, well i didn't count, here's the picture :D :D :D

And that's without the acw and buildings etc etc...
Starting my magazine and overall this year totals 200 - 250 pounds. There is more afoot and paints, brushes etc. are not even included.
Which brings me about a PM to the other half of the new boss at minibits.... :d
About £25 per month not including books.
I prefer to small frequent orders to big ones and I generally wait until I've run out of things to paint before ordering more, the postage may be a bit higher but the shock to the bank account seems less and I don't amass a depressing 'lead mountain'.
