Title: ECW rules - ‘Warr Without An Enemie’
Post by: WFGamer on 17 March 2014, 09:39:19 AM
Hi all,

I have just realised that I should have put the original post on the rules here - this is it - http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,9606.0.html (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,9606.0.html)

In any case I have added a new scenario for these rules.

New Scenario Added: The Battle of Montgomery, 1644 - http://www.wfgamers.org.uk/images/resources/Montgomery.htm (http://www.wfgamers.org.uk/images/resources/Montgomery.htm)

p.s. Simon Moore: If you are reading this can you contact us at wyreforestgamers@yahoo.co.uk using an alternative e-mail account. We can NOT contact you via the original one you used.

Nice to see my favourite battle given a write up.
I would have had the town and the castle walls on more of a slope, it's only a 1 in 4! I grew up near there, its awesome!

Second that! Played many a cricket game at Montgomery, lovely setting, bugger to get petrol round there though IIRC.

Yes a seriously nice area. I too am fairly local and this is one of the places I often recommend people to go to if they ask. Montgomery town, castle and battlefield are well worth a visit. You can also see Offa's Dyke, various Stone/Iron age stuff and Dolforwyn castle as well. All free, assuming you avoid the excellent pubs around, and in stunning scenery. A great place for a trip.

Don't forget the Roman fort on the Severn and Hen Doman too, if you can find them!!!
