hi, looking for rules to fight some skirmishing rules about 20-40 men per side, was considering a variant of "dinky dau" or something similar, does anyone have a set of rules simillar, or that would be compatible.

Crossfire works well for the Pacific
Chain of Command is an excellent ruleset. I'd check the Too Fat Lardies Blog/Site to see if they have Japanese and USMC lists.
19 US Army Divisions fought in the Pacific, there were only 6 US Marine Divisions (all fought in the Pacific)
I must admit that I have only started learning about the Pacific Campaigns in the last few years, despite living on a Pacific island (New Zealand) :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

yes, a very good ruleset.
I think there is no (not yet) official list for this place , but some folks are working on them :

I think I will play in the pacific ( and even japanese vs. chinese, as there were some urban fights, and I'd like to play them.)
What minis shall I use for the chinese ...? :-\

I realise that your comment may simply be a thinly veiled request but I think the Chinese troops may be well down the order of priorities :( :(.
I'm using WW1 Austrians for Chinese (from Mark Dudley's blog - http://thegreatworldwar.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/pendraken-10mm.html (http://thegreatworldwar.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/pendraken-10mm.html)):-

and also WW1 German stormtroopers
(http://www.pendraken.co.uk/ProductImages/GP6.jpg)
The Pendraken Vickers E, Type B is handy and you can use some improvised /WW1 armoured cars.
Incidentally I'm using Boers, without the brim turned, up as European militias and Chinese Green Gang/urban guerillas.
I'm just waiting on some more Tomytec buildings for an urban adventure :).
Cheers

I've always liked Company Commander for smaller actions https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Company_Commander/info (https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Company_Commander/info) (yes I know it's another Yahoo group but a at least the game is free)
Flames of War and other sites can often provide details for New Guinea and Burma:-
