A full week off casting? Is it really worth a full week off?

There are some serious gamers sitting by their post boxes waiting to put more metal in the loft.

Dave not casting he has to look after the granchildren. This involves:-
Allowing them to do everything they arn't supposed to
Spoiling them rotten
On the day Leon and Adele get home he has to get them very very excited. Give them lots of sweets high in E numbers and lots of fizzy drinks before handing them back after tea at Mcdonalds. :D
I know this becuase my kids had thier own saying " If Dad says no - ask Grandad" >:(

I had a few beers last to celebrate, great party. Just forgot to invite anyone.
Ah Well...you cant be happy all your life.
You do realise there isn't any Tax breaks any more for the married man (.....fondly remembers married man's Tax allowance back in the day, something worth getting married for back then). But, if you have too good luck. I suspect there's a shotgun involved myself. Well Done and Congratulations Adele and Leon :) :) :)
Won't believe it until we see a photo ;) Of the wedding day (not night) of cousre, don't want any crass images on here thank you
Congrats once again :)
Congratulation to both of you!!
OK, OK, I know I am slow on the uptake, but I have only just come onto the forum via the main webpage, so finally understand what this is all about! :D. Many, many congratulations to both of you, and have a fabulous time. We'll miss you! :'(

As a married man myself I can assure you that your life DOES end right after saying "I do".
Additionally you are in the unlucky position that Missus can (and will) supervise you at work :D and the "I am YOUR boss" will severly backfire should you intend to use it :D
Congratulations and welcome in matrimony.

There's also that old line (well, one of the old pub regulars told me it on
my last night of freedom the night before I got married (in a heavy Somerset accent):
"Every time you'm have sex before you'm get married, put a pebble in a jar, boy. Then every time you'm have sex after you'm married, take 'un pebble out.
I guarantee you, Nikker boy, you'm never going to empty that f***ing jar"
:D ;D :D
I've been looking up Darbretts on the conventions attending the marriage of a Dark Lord, and thought I'd share some of my findings.
The Dark Lord has chosen one of his many concubines to raise to sit beside him, and this will mean a small but subtle transfer of power. In the old days, the chosen one was released from her cell by a trusted casting dwarf and in solemn ceremony in front of all, the Dark Lord would release her chains himself and place them on his own ankles. He would then invite the chosen one to sit beside him on the floor, wearing the traditional garb of leather bikini and a collar of that rarest of materials - 10mm Aztecs.
On the day of betrothal, the chosen one is allowed many liberties. Usually she has the other Dark Lord's other concubines executed or just thinned out. Since the advent of cloning, the chosen one usually marks the clones so that unfortunate accidents are avoided. The first set of clones were marked by having their left eye gouged out, but it is more the fashion now to distingush clones with a tattoo or scar on the neck. It is conceivable that the chosen one may have th clones executed along with the concubines. This may have a detrimental effect on production at Pendraken until the Dark Lord spawns a few more.
With the betrothal completed, the chosen one adopts a new title. The Dark Lord may confer upon her the title of "Dark Lady", though other titles are available: "Mistress of the Molds", "Primary Putty Pusher Punisher" or most feared of all - "Totty Thread Editor". Until the Dark Lord confers upon her a formal title, she may be addressed as "Milady".
Milady may have many powers devolved upon her. She may keep the keys to the dolly cabinet, she may be given power of life or death for the casting dwarves, and she is always given stewardship of the Dark Lord's orchards. Well, Darbretts said she gets control of his plums, and that's the same thing isn't it?
FSN - you have no doubt excelled yourself, and, in all probability, exiled yourself if Milady EVER sees this!
All the very best both :)

Oh no! Do you think Milady may Summon The Forum to attend upon her? :-SS It may not just be concubines and clones getting the chop! :-SS :-SS
We'll really miss you, nikharwood. :(

Hello
In situations like this I'm never sure on who to congratulate and who to commiserate with - it so just all depends on who is getting the bigger bargain :D :D..
Well, I'll just assume you've both done well and congratulate you both...

Do you think Milady is going to want the Forum Bar redecorated?
Girly stuff like plastic plants, and doors on the toilets, and scented sawdust? And some nice curtains, and lovely tablecloths over those cigarette burns, and perhaps a throw over Lemmey when he's not actually serving? ...
I'll get my samples! :D
I don't mind as long as chewing tobacco and spitting aren't banned! :D
Cheers!

Which clone is Adele marrying ?.......And if Leon's the Dark Lord....What (Which ?) title are we bestowing on the bride ?
Cheers - Phil :D
I think we're sticking to "Milady" - "Milday Adele" has a nice ring - well she will get one at the ceremony.
After that it's up to the Dark Lord. Sometimes they sacrifice a casting dwarf and read his liver.

Have you noticed that on the front page of the website it says "12 long years."
You'd think that "magical", "happy", or "delightful" might have been more appropriate. Perhaps even "glorious" or "blissful". :-\

Shold that not be" Welcome home Mr and Mrs Pengilly". Actually to be correct it should be " Welcome home Mrs and Mr Pengilly" as we all know who is actually in charge ;D
I bet it was strange for the Dark Lord actually sleeping at night.(no comments please :d)
I think we should call Adele "The Clone Master"

Back to work now, so I'll get caught up on all the emails today... :'(
It's a bit of a shock to the system being back in Middlesbrough though. After the warm and sunny weather of Geneva, all this grey rain is a bit rubbish really. :(
Welcome back and hope you had a great time :).

Excellent time, really enjoyed it. We went up the Alps, saw the Hadron Collider at CERN and visited the United Nations. It was surprising how many things there are to do in Geneva, as it's not somewhere that immediately springs to mind when you think of honeymoon destinations. :D

Very nice too.
I don't know the official name of that gun, but I have made several like it from badly translated Japanese kits.
What? You didn't get married in a Pendraken polo shirt?
Is it a German 105 AA gun?
Given that it appears to be sculpture rather than, say, a trophy it may well be bits of several guns welded together.
