We're constantly on the lookout for more handy plastic 1:144th aircraft kits, and this month we've got a couple more to add to the selection.
B-29A Bomber, by Minicraft
Introduced in 1944, the B-29 saw service in the Pacific theatre of WWII, including dropping the atomic bombs on Japan. Despite being designed as a high-altitude bomber, it became more regularly used in low-level incendiary bombing missions. It was still in use during the Korean War as well, with almost 4000 produced overall.
This kit comes with decals for two painting options.

Junkers Ju 52, by Eduard
Developed in the early 1930's, the Junkers Ju 52 first saw service in the Spanish Civil War. Due to the Dornier Do11 not being fit for purpose, the Ju 52 was also used in a bomber capacity during the early stages of WWII, but became more regularly used by the Luftwaffe for transporting both cargo and troops after 1939.
This kit comes with decals and a painting mask as well.

These are now up on the website: http://www.pendraken.co.uk/World-War-II-c19/Plastic-Aircraft-Kits-sc286/ (http://www.pendraken.co.uk/World-War-II-c19/Plastic-Aircraft-Kits-sc286/), both priced at £10 each.
I can imagine that several fallschirmjager owners are going to be rubbing their hands together at the Ju 52. And I love the B29 - now where could I use it?
I'm thinking of a downed B29 in Korea?

As it is in 1/144 it could possibly be converted to a 1/150 scale C-94 which saw a lot of post war action as a transport. The Israeli airforce was a prime user.
I have used them as C-94s in 1/300 scale .
Sadly, Sunray, that would involve a whole new era of armies for me. :( :( :( :'(
