Title: Burmese

This link will take you to some pictures of the Burmese in action against Indians. There are some Pendraken figures in the mix.

The disconsolate-looking Asian is probably unhappy about being a Thai commanding an army of his ancestral enemies.

Very nice.  Looks like I might have to get some Burmese to fight my indians.

Bugger - another new years resolution busted :)

That's an interesting set-to, FK. The temple makes a useful reference point. And so many elephants - you've got to love 'em.  :-bd

The pix rather foreground what a whacky battle it was, especially with the flank charges that players failed to press home. But, yes, you can't fail to get a snappy effect with lots of ellies. I'm looking forward to getting to them with the Seleucids I'm painting. The Thai and Burmese royal elephants are converted from Khmer figures, by the way; reasonably accurate, though I mean to stick half a dozen bizarre polearms into the howdah of Prince Anutra of Bang Na (Anutra is the Thai player in the second picture, not a real historical figure).
