Same here. You can make unlimited transfers before the season starts and we can't see each others teams until after the first round of games.

Not necessarily..... but it would probably help.
A big problem you'd have if you don't follow the Premiership is injuries and transfers which would put you at distinct disadvantage.
Join in though, as you never know what might happen. 8)
I'm in - now I'll have to read through the rules :D
Sorry, I do not understand what is going on... (maybe I am not native english and do not caught it)... this has anything to do with miniatures? or just soccer/football?
(Spain has won the world cup, this makes me win anyting special ;D)

Just football! You choose a team of players, and you get points when they score, etc. Whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins!
I just joined. Being from across the pond I don't get to follow the Premier League too much and know very little about the teams or players.
The only real connection I have with the league is from hearing about the problems with Liverpool. Being from Dallas I hear all the time about how Tom Hicks has ruined Liverpool - along with the Texas Rangers (baseball) and Dallas Stars (hockey).
Ok then, not really interested. But have fun all of you!!!
cheers

Q: How many Middlesbrough fans does it take to change a lightbulb?.
A: None there all content with living in the shadows!
The Sultan of Brunei wanted to give his three favourite sons a Christmas present, so he asked each one what he wanted.
The first said he wanted a motor car, so he gave him Rolls Royce Motors.
The second said he'd like a plane, so he gave him British Aerospace.
The third, and youngest, said he'd like a Mickey Mouse outfit, so he gave him
Middlesbrough FC.

What's your team then?! If I recall, there's a distinct lack of decent teams in your area, isn't there?! You must be a Man U fan then...

Who's the "Bah!" at - me or Dazza??!
If it's me - well, nearest to me is either Yeovil Town or Exeter City, then the Bristols...but my team's Chelsea: cos I was born there...
Now then, who won the Premiership & the FA Cup last year? Hmm... ;D
It was actually at Dazza, but interesting how you bit as well!
;D ;D ;D
Unfortunately at the moment my Team is in transition / freefall / bankruptcy threat / Yank Command, call it what you like, but is still THE most successful club in England :) (Form is temporary - class is permanent )

ok im there - added a holding team for the mo until i can look at it properly
Has everyone got their teams sorted then?! I keep changing mine every time I check it....
Yes, I'm finally sorted out, I think. Two of my players are doubtful for this weekend. They earn a lot of points so I'm torn between transferring them or just keeping them as a substitute until they get better.
I'm in. Looking forward to the ride.
One day in and I'm hooked. Dang it - all week long Bent was listed as doubtful so I dropped him to my subsitutes, then he plays and scores. I'm also upset that I didn't go through with the transfer to get Drogba. 3 goals, 17 pts. Un F-ing believable. I thought it would have cost me too much to get him. I've got 40 points now with only one player on Man U playing Monday. Hopefully I'll get a few more points before the week is through.
Cracking start to the season, eh? Just got to love that Chelsea 8)
Now just want Newcastle to turn over Man U on Monday :-*
My biggest buys are in action today and tomorrow hence the poor performance yesterday :'( :'(
Guess who forgot to put drogba in the starting line up.....DOH! >:(
I was never gonna touch Drogba unless it was with a tazer. Can't stand the guy, he's the biggest diving cheat in the game today. (Sorry Nik!)
My biggest opening day regret was Marlon Harewood. I had him in on Friday, only to swop him for Piqiuonne at the last minute.
:(

I'm a points whore so when I have enough points I'll be buying Drogba!
My biggest mistake was gambling on Given >:(, he's gone now and Hart is in.
If you'd have had Harewood in your side it'd been a managerial masterpiece! :P Harewood will be lucky to score two more this season so he's probably not worth the points now.
I'm still unsure on Rooney. Hopefully he'll bang a couple in against the barcodes and give me something to smile about!

Yeah - you're right: cheated his way to 29 Premiership goals last season - and cheated his way to a hat-trick yesterday. Outrageous I call it. :P ;) 8)
I can't deny he's talented, and gets goals, but for a 6ft 3(?), 13 stone guy, he spends an awful lot of time on his arse complaining!

Not being funny old boy, but you show me a club without a firm [and those are *very* old photos BTW] and I'll move to 15mm.
Let's not generalise and pick out a single club for vilification in terms of having muppets amongst its ranks of supporters.

Which is fine - on both counts [particularly that I'm not going to move to 15mm - never happen!]...but I don't see why you needed to bring a personal memory of a bad experience [which I'm not deingrating BTW] and apply it to a whole club..now...with the startpoint of "London's finest"
Unless, of course, you like to have a 'pop' at what most people would consider are, at present,
actually London's finest:

1 set of games to go and 25 points clear at the top
Well, I (The Grenadiers) had a great time with it. I clawed my way to the top around December but couldn't fend off a late season surge by Jings McBoro. He put it out of reach last week when his reserve, Hangeland, made it into the game with 21 points. Stoke City and Pendraken Donkeys also put up a late season surge but faded in the last month or so.
All in all it was fun and I hope Pendraken hosts another league next season.

I'll second that
Jings McBoro is me, also I beat my boss into 2nd place in work league - petty victories :D
So, you're Jing McBoro :o
why you little... :'(
Do you know how many hours I spent these past few weeks wondering what moves you would make? Second guessing if you would name Van Persie your captain or not. Realizing that you traded 4 - 8 points in transfers to move ahead of me. Hoping that Huth would get in the game last week so that you wouldn't get the points for Hangeland!!!
Seriously, it was all in good fun and I think you did a great job managing your team. Congratulations for placing first!
Tom
I had a disastrous start to the season, but start climbing a bit over the second half. It was never going to be enough to catch any of you guys, but I think I managed a top-half finish in the end, so not too bad.
I'll have you all next season though...! :-\ :D
