That is, Venus with the pretty bum, for any whose classics are a bit dusty.

One does forget that the Greek world was not all white marble, and that statues were painted.

There's a painted statue in the Liverpool Walker Art Gallery which gives the idea but is quite disconcerting.

Okay, buy where is the pediment freeze, plus did you get your column ratios right 2x+1?
Your columns should bulge slightly in the middle...

Damn A Level classics, sorry FK, really nice job!

Even if the pediment is ionic and the columns are doric order.  :P

There's a temple in Sicily which is 4 x 20. The classical rules were discovered after long experimentation, remember.

This is kharma turning round to bite me in the arse FK, and feel free to laugh...

My daughter, on the Friday of our weeks school holiday has just announced she needs a project on Roman architecture, by Monday!

A level, degree and a Masters in Classics, I could have rocked this homework!
Also two Roman cities driven past this week on our travels, all opportunities missed!!!

We're going to build a Romano-British temple from Lego.
Where is my Lego Poseidon?

You may now laugh!  ;D
