truly magnificent.... I`m amazed these are 10mm, the detail in the painting makes them look so alive.
Very nice indeed! 8)
Very very nice :)
look fab :-bd :-bd
Very nice andy - might benefit from a lightly done wash? Just to give a bit more depth to them?
These are going to look great fighting at the Drift - looking forward to seeing pics 8)
You have been a busy bunny, haven't you. I've never seen individually named companies on a wargames table before. And the Zulus look suitably menacing.
Nicely done. 8)
Can we have a group photo ?
very nice Andy
good research and execution
Great stuff Andy, one of my favorite periods, i've only done this in 6mm before but hopefully will do it in 10mm at some point,
kev

Awwwww....
Look at all the space he's got !!
It's so neat and organized ! ;)
Great work Andy.
Cheers - Phil.
Either you're using a very short lens or the pictures on your wall are squint.
That looks great! Nice grouping of units. 10mm just looks great en masse, how can 28mm gamers get away with it?

When I first started wargaming I played with 20mm and I thought that was cramped. However people at the club play with 28mm figures wall to wall so to speak with absolutely no room for manoverablity. This exactly why I love 10mm so much

... but are the pictures on your wall squint? If not, then you're probably using a short lens.

Better for a man to have a short lens than a short
nose.

Pretty. Soil in eastern SA is a lot redder, mind you. But I don't take that into account in my own basing, and I've lived there. By the way, Zulu students were most disappointing; they aren't all magnificent seven-foot-tall black Viking types.

Some of the older ones I saw were decidedly wizened.

hi there I totally agree with you about the soil being much redder but I'm kinda ignoring it so I dont have to change to much scenery.

That's brilliant. Wow 8)
Excellent......You're a lucky man Andy !
Cheers - Phil
Superb. Wish I could persuade mine to do the same. :(
That's brilliant.
I chamfer the edge of thinner mdf using a Stanley knife. I find that easier than filing or rasping and there is less dust. I don't know how that would work with that thickness though.
Those Kraal's are nice, but that Rorkes Drift is superb!
Lucky man :)

I pointed out that I felt my good lady wife was remiss in not providing me with something similar. I will write more when I have removed the pencil from my nose.
Very nice indeed...the models that is..not the pencil.
Interesting project. You are lucky in that your missus takes an active interest, the closest I could get was when she started a collection of unmentionables playing as a female D&D Fighter. Historical, forget it, you have more chance of nicking the pontiffs headgear.
To get chamfered edges I use my trusty Dremel. Might be more dusty but it is faster and there is far less swearing and / or blisters involved.
Hope you wear a suitable mask. MDF dust is nasty stuff.

Oh, yeah, I was told years ago that it's carcinogenic and that in other countries it has warning labels on it.
