Reliefs of Armenians of c.920 AD:
David and Goliath on Southeast Facade, Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church, Aghtamar, Turkish Armenia (http://warfare2.netai.net/6C-11C/Akdamar-David_and_Goliath.htm)
. An Armenian Cavalryman by Ian Heath based on Goliath (http://warfare.atspace.eu/Ancient/Dark_Ages-91-Armenian_Cavalryman.htm)
Samson Killing a Philistine, Northeast Facade, Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church, Aght'amar, Turkish Armenia (http://warfare2.netai.net/6C-11C/Akdamar-Samson.htm)
Warrior Saints on the Northwest Facade, Surb Khach (Holy Cross) Church, Akdamar, Turkish Armenia (http://warfare2.netai.net/6C-11C/Akdamar-Saints.htm)
and probably a newer relief:

Wow, I'd love to visit that church as it looks in amazing condition considering its age.

Superb, one wonders what they were like when new? Were they painted and how vibrant they would have been.

The church has recently been restored, you can see some blocks of a different colour. I have seen no mention of the reliefs being painted. I've seen some pictures of murals inside which are not in good condition.
