I think they were originally trying for a magazine rack, but it got out of hand.

That's a real labour of love isn't it ?
But.......Seeing as even modern planes scare the poo out of me .....there's no way you'd get me up in that.

Not wishing to make your point, I was thinking it would be great to go up in one of those. I fancy the nose gunner position if anyone's offering.

As long it didn't do more than 5 m.p.h and it didn't reach an altitude of over 3 feet. :-SS :-SS

The only plane that really scares me is the Spad A2, where the pilot and gunner were separated by the prop.

As insane in WWII was the Boulton Paul Defiant which for the gunner included an insane parachute system
