Title: New planes released F-toys
Post by: GrumpyOldMan on 15 January 2014, 07:00:02 AM
Hi All

It was a bit quite here so I thought I'd let people know that F-toys are due to release an I-16 and an early FW 190 (A4) next month.

News here:-

http://kampfgruppe144.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/f-toys-wing-kit-collection-vol13-f-toys.html (http://kampfgruppe144.blogspot.com.au/2013/12/f-toys-wing-kit-collection-vol13-f-toys.html)

Has pictures there. The I-16 in particular looks very handy - Russia, Spain China, Finland, etc. Comes in markings for one Winter Soviet, one summer Soviet and one Finnish plane.

Incidentally, also from Kampfgruppe comes news of a Revell 1/144 LSM (Landing Ship Medium) inc. Trucks, Sherman and M8 Armoured Car - http://kampfgruppe144.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/revell-2014-1144-releases.html (http://kampfgruppe144.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/revell-2014-1144-releases.html)

Cheers

GrumpyOldMan,
where's the best place to get F-Toys planes in the UK? At a sensible price...

Bit hard to see from over here in Australia  :). I think that because this is F-Toys and Russian it will remain popular (and therefore expensive) to get anywhere. I'm sure you've looked at the Reviresco and True North metal kits. The only other options I know of are a resin kit from Peters Planes in Australia, about £4 http://petersplanes.com/avions/i16/i16.htm (http://petersplanes.com/avions/i16/i16.htm), postage shouldn't be much for a small resin plane. Otherwise you could look at Shapeways https://www.shapeways.com/search?q=polikarpov+1%2F144 (https://www.shapeways.com/search?q=polikarpov+1%2F144). For the UK it's a flat rate postage of €8.26 and I-16s cost €4.77 each. Probably need to pad out the order with other planes etc. to make it worthwhile.

Cheers
