Title: Avar? Rock Carving at Seljek, Siberia
Post by: Druzhina on 29 December 2013, 02:49:08 AM
A drawing of an Avar? Rock Carving at Seljek, Siberia (http://warfare.atspace.eu/Ancient/Avar_carving-Seljek-Siberia.htm)
Notes and a drawing of Avar Heavy Cavalry by Ian Heath based on this carving (http://warfare.atspace.eu/Ancient/Dark_Ages-85-88-Asiatic_Heavy_Cavalrymen.htm)

Does anyone have a photo of the actual rock-carving?

Or does it just produce a thousand avar wargames armies? ;)

Just done a google search, looks like there are a thousand Avar armies out there!  I-)

It seems Google images only finds images that can be hot-linked, and it can't find images in databases or pdfs. Google thinks Seljek is a misspelling of Seljuk.
And of course it can't find books in your home library. ;)
