Title: Stay safe in the holiday season
Post by: kustenjaeger on 23 December 2013, 02:03:55 PM
Greetings

Hoping everyone stays safe and well this holiday season, especially given the lousy weather we are having both in the UK/Northern Europe and on the US/Canada East Coast.

I'm looking out at the rain and wind lashed landscape at the moment and hearing the wind through the double glazing.  We decided that this was not the weather to take the dog for a walk in the woods...  We also told the cat he was not going out again when he came in about 1pm, so both animals are curled up in the living room with the fire on.

Regards

Edward

Taking the dogs for a walk ?...

Very lucky where I live.....I just open the back door and 'the boys' have about 10 acres to go and have a 'bimble' around in......Believe me, they can't go anywhere because of the fencing on 'the house side of the road'.

Up extra early this morning to do 'the shopping'....Let them out.....Made a cup of coffee... Cleaned myself up (Hah !)....Just about to go and open the back door and shout for them to come back....."Come on gang...I'm in a rush this morning !!".....And the back door opens, and they let themselves back in. (Two of the b*ggers have learned how to use a door handle.....AAARGH !!)

They must have been out less than 4 minutes before they decided they'd had enough.....It was that horrid outside......Tiny bit better now.

So I fully endorse what Edward says.....Keep warm and keep safe gang !!

Cheers - Phil.

Nice and sunny here in Texas after a cold, damp weekend.  It's nice having a week off, not having to worry about work.

It actually seems to have got better here on the NW this afternoon - this morning / lunch time was very wild and windy, with side ways rain - but now it seems to have calmed down a lot.

Probably just waiting for a big blow overnight though!!

It was a bit better here to, went to brussels today.

Now it's very rough, big winds and rain all over. My furry pal has already taken residence in his warm basket  :D
