Title: Rquest: Random wishlist
Post by: Luddite on 12 March 2010, 08:33:00 PM
Oooh..ok, lets see...i'll just rattle out the stuff i'd really like to see and leave it there.
I suspect most of these will be pipedreams but its worth just throwing them out there...i'd purchase any of the following

Victorian Sci-fi - Now actually the Colonial and 19thC ranges do provide the basic troops for this period and theres bits and bobs in the sci-fi range.  But maybe some HGWells or E Rice Burrows style Martians would be go.  And a variety of 'steampunk' vehicles, field artillery etc. would be nice just to 'wierd things up a bit'.

A Very British Civil War - Currently mainly done in 28mm, producing 10mm figs for the speculative British civil war of 1938 (http://solwaycraftsandminiatures.webs.com/books.htm (http://solwaycraftsandminiatures.webs.com/books.htm)  http://gwargamesp.18.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=1689 (http://gwargamesp.18.forumer.com/index.php?showtopic=1689)) would be lovely.   :D

Dr Who - Daleks, Cybermen, UNIT, etc.

Star Trek - Federation Troops, Klingons, Romulans, Borg.

Here's the biggest pipe dream of alll...

Star Wars - Rebels and Stormtroopers.

Hehe...

Any new armies for the Ancients and Dark Ages ranges will be useful too.

The first two could be goers, but the others are all subject to copyright problems.

You could quite reasonably do AVBCW using WW1, WW2 & SCW ranges I think...

The Victorian Sci-fi would be nice - I could certainly see myself going quite merrily down that particular road...

We've heard a bit about this British Civil War, and it does come up in conversation when we're looking at vehicles.  I don't think it's something we'll ever do specifically, but we should have things that could be used quite easily.

Agreed, but i figured i'd ask anyway.   :D   After all, Pendraken has aliens and predators...

Now then, the Pendraken fantasy ranges can be readily used for a 'well known high street retailers' armies.
How about sci-fi versions?

Star Marines (good and bad)
Empire Guardsmen
Space Elves (good and bad)
Space Orks
Space Communists
Space Dwarves
Bio-aliens
Undead robots

After all, the lists are in the Future War Commander rules...

I recently sent a load of Orcs and some Heavy weapons from the Sci-Fi range to a customer.  He's gonna see what he can come up with in the Space Ork vein.

Ok, I did not see this threat unitl now.

Take my vote for the list below.

Star Marines (good and bad)
Empire Guardsmen
Space Elves (good and bad)
Space Orks
Space Communists
Space Dwarves
Bio-aliens
Undead robots

15mm, 28mm and 6mm have a lot this stuff but 10mm is lacking of a manufacture to cover generic future.

Alien setting is cover by Pendraken and Warrior, and I am glad to see those figures hitting the market

Yeah! Star Trek. I always wanted a seriese based on federation ground troops (surly they have armour).

I also thought that during the age of the Enterprice C would be a good time periord (see the TNG episode 'yesterday's enterprise' provebly my fab episode... That and Q-Who)

So some models for fed troops tanks and Klingon and Romulans etc

So the polite and friendly ones serve as skirmishers, do they?

The Klingon/fed war was a harsh one, they had no choice but to engage.
