The brilliant range of Falklands allows a lot of Bush wars to be played. I am modelling Schramme's men - a well equipped private army who were armed with SLRs and a uniform which looks like Belgian Paratrooper smock circa 1960s-70s - A version of the post war Denison. (My photos are black&white).
Is it the same tones as the British post war smock - the one worn prior to DPM?
In 10mm I'd just paint it light brown and wash or dry brush with darker brown and a lightish green. There is very little differentiation in the real thing.

Sorry Ian - not looking for painting tips. My query was about the various patterns of Denison smock. Further research has identified at least five.
1. the original olive green worn over battle dress
2. the mid war "Arnhem" style pattern - worn instead of battle dress
3. a post war 1960s era change of pattern- also may have been a tropical pattern?
4. the DPM
5 the Belgian pattern - distinct from the British wartime pattern.
6. Pakistani version ?- or same as Belgian ?
Have I missed any?
