Dear clone central...
In the interest of making the 100k a little more spicy, is it possible to supend the post counter in the top right of the screen???
Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere.
Any thoughts guys???
I'm not sure I'm with you there? Do you mean freeze it so people can't see how close we are?
Exactly :D

Exactly :D
*Imagining that being said the accent those kids did in the milk advert about Accrington Stanley*
That would have the advantage of stopping people from upping their posting rate to try and win.
I can't freeze the time unfortunately, as it's all built into the forum software, and I'd be risking breaking the internet... :o

For everyone who increases their post rate to hit their guess, hopefully there'll be an equal number trying to slow everyone down to hit theirs!
Ah well, shame. Would've been really funny :D

Not the time, the number of posts. Like you did for the 1000th Member competition.
Which reminds me, I'd better hazard a guess sharpish!
Cheers,

We never froze the member counter either, the only control I had on that was that I activate the members, so that number only changes after I've authorised them. I've got no way of controlling the post/topic stats unfortunately, it's all coded into the software of the forum. I could delete a load of posts, which would change it, but that might not be a good idea...! :D
Hands up.... all those who have now made a note of the current number of posts to make sure that he doesn't ! :-h (That one will have to do) ;)

The first time a post is deleted, it goes into the Recycle Bin, and is still counted as a post anyway. The Recycle Bin has to be emptied to take that post off the count, which has only ever been done once I think.
