Just out of curiosity (and to up the post count :P :P ;) ) , what would you get with 100£ of pendraken credit?
I think i would get me 2 small battlegroups for the winter war, So i can put my new snowy christmass trees to good use :D
After that, if something's left over, i'd flog it all on standard acw troops, to get more stands.
Now tell me YOUR pendraken wants!
Early war (WW2) Russians. :D
W
Maybe starting a new project... Crete 1941
or Romans vs Celts
:-\
I will have lots of idea when I'll have won :d
;)
Greeks, Republican Romans, Carthaginians, Triremes.
Something way down on my master list, and very different from what I've been buying.

I'm sure you will, as it'll be at least another year. You can win it right after me :P

I've been eyeing the triremes myself, they look nice!
Edit; BTW when did i become a brigadier :-\
33 posts ago, congratulations Brigadier.
I would have no idea what to spend it on. Probably fritter it away on another FPW corps and then Mongols...
Yes....Congrats Peter. :-bd
You going for the 5,000 tonight Will ? ;)
Cheers - Phil.
Nope, saving it for posting the three units I've painted this week.

Thanks!
Go on, get to 5000 then, i wanna see them! :!! :!! :!! :-w :-w :-w
I would start another Project too - Trouble is which one
ECW
Dark ages
High Elf
Crusades
Actually I have far too much to paint. Perhaps I would get 2 army packs and then auction the other £50 credit off and donate the proceeds to "Help for Heroes"

£100 for me would get me the new Brit Naps and some ww1 me thinks!
I reckon I'd get something from the 19thC or Colonial ranges. As I've got a couple of Bruce Weigle's books, probably something for 1864 or 1866.
I can't decide what I'd get.
More Napoleonic for DBN?
Start a SWY project?
LOA perhaps?
WWI or WWII?
Don't know. There's too much that I want.
Hmm if I was lucky and won I would most definitely put it towards my Anglo Zulu War project
take care

TYW Imperialists to fight my Swedes, Turks, Poles.
More LoA madness. is 1 to 1 insane... :P :P :P :P :P

Yes it is, but if you were sane you would not be here in the first place :)
Just taking a horse & musket army, £100 will get you 25 packs. That's 750 figures.
Which means I'll still have to throw in another £100 or so if I want to something really big! ;D
May I change my mind? (Shecky's fault!)
I think I'd have to go early WWI. French infantry in red trousers, Uhlans and Tommies. Seems fitting for 2014.
Can I change my mind again?
Could I denote my £100 to everyone at Pendraken, for a few drinks and nibbles in gratitude to them maintaining this last tenuous grasp I have on something approaching sanity?
I have no idea, may be a Norman and gp Rennaisance forces.....
IanS
Since I'm never going to win there's no point in counting my chickens. However, if by some miracle I did win I suspect that Das Reich and 5th Guards Tank would come in for yet more bods and ironmongery, or maybe 14th Army, or the 1866 Prussian 2nd Division, or the Saxon Reiter Division, or maybe something entirely new.....

Ypu could send each of us a centurion :D
I'm with Hertsblue in feeling that any idea of my winning this is pure fantasy but since it's fantasy I'll say I'd trade the £100 back to Leon in exchange for bumping the Goliath up a couple of rungs on the production schedule ladder :)
.. or failing that I'd get a Late Roman WMA army or maybe get back into ACW or try ECW as it's a period I've always had an interest in but never really gamed or maybe I'll branch out from WW2 Eastern Front to the Pacific (USMC vs Japanese at Guadalcanal maybe) or ... or ... or maybe it's just as well I won't win since clearly I'll never use it because I'll be torn so many ways on what to buy ;D ;D ;D
Could we exchange if for Techno's sculpting time? ;)

TBH if i actually was lucky enough to guess the correct answer the first thig i would buy would be a lottery ticket!! :D

Thats the evil genius of the Dark Lord. Give you soemthing, but make sure its costs you much much more in the long run.! :)
You do all realise That Leon and his many Clones can delete posts!
That means Leon can control when we reach the elusive 100,000 posts so as Leon can warp time in this way is he either a God or a Time Lord. :-\ :-\
Actually does that make the clones Gods or time lords too?
So is Pendraken Towers Valhalla?

Does that include the time mixing up the putty ? ;)

Is it a sort of Rolf Harris thing? 6 minutes in and it looks like nothing, then a dab here, a blob there and hey presto! A Byzantine archer!
I'll be round later.
Actually Phil is like magneeto from x-men. But instead ofmetal he can manipulate putty.
HE just makes some gestures with his hands and uses his mind to shape them. It's only a matter of moments.
Don't tell Leon and Dave though, i hear he's paid per hour :O) :O) 8-} 8-} :-$ :-$ :-$
:D
Well I will add my guess later on and 100 GBP of Pendraken/Minibits goodies?
Well...BRUSHES, 4 Colours ( :D ), Bases and of course Minis
-Dice Frames: LOADS!
-High Elves
-Dwarfs
-Aliens
-Vietnamese Range or Market Garden. cannot decide

Not so clear :P :P
I dont know the answer to this but...
How many sculpts/moulds could you get made for 100 quid?
ECW Foot. I'm painting generic armies 60% or so will be in red, the rest in Blue, Green, some yellow, and white
I need 3 command, 29 pike, and 40-44 musket per unit
so
1 bags Command (=10 units)
10 bag pike
14 bags musket
25 bags x £4
Wow - that's lucky! I should win, just for that! (really - I had no idea until I typed and did the maths as I did so)
Does that include postage? ;)
Canadians NW Europe which sadly means buying SS as opponents.

Not many! We charge £40 for a mould normally, so you've not got a lot left for the sculptor!
Oh well thats my idea of what to do with the 100 quid if I won out the window
100 nick should be a fair kung fu style kick to a Mexican kickstarter, n'est ce pas? Oui, certainent.
I would probably take mdf bases and napoleonic Russian infantry
The most massively huge Kislev army (for those who don't know this is a faux medieval Polish type army for Warmster).
I reckon I could clock up about 8000 points with £100 of shiny goodness 8)

I didn't realise that literacy standards had risen so significantly on the forum. In future gentlemen, I will endeavour to ensure all my future correspondence is of a suitably high calibre :)
Rumour was that when Warmaster was being developed that the playtesters were so used to Warhammer that they kept referring to the game as "Warhamm ... master" so it became colloquially known as "Warhamster"
One of these stories that may not be true but ought to be, IMHO.

It was !.....The number of colloquialisms was beyond belief.....I'm sure it's
exactly the same nowadays.

Nowadays they just call it cashcow...

Don't think it'll be quite that polite Peter. ;)

An army of war hamsters would be quite cute. With the bonus that my poor Incas would probably win for a change. :)
180 packs of http://www.pendraken.co.uk/AR1-p2665/ AR1 - Legionaries, HTW/sword to kickstart my Valeria Victix 1:1 project.

They are lovely models

IIRC Phil's redoing the Imperial Romans but I hope they compatible with these older ones.
If I won I'd buy the models I need to finish off my Quebec projects and loads of WWII stuff.
Sudan War - now I've got the rather good Blood and Sand rules from Real-time wargames I'm going to push on with it as a project.
It would burn such a big hole in my pocket that I would rush in and buiy something that would sit in my lead pile for two years and end up unloved, untouched and a forgotten project amongst loads of other forgotten projects ;D
2013 has been such a frugal year wargames wise that I think I have turned a bit of a corner and now only buy things I actually need. For once in my wargaming hobby I feel as if I am getting close to having just a couple of projects on the go.
If I were lucky enough to win, rather than start something new I'd use the £100 to fill gaps in existing stuff rather than start something else.
I have a feeling I'm getting sensible all of a sudden... ;)
Snap out of it man! Sensible?
Get down to the forum barfight and have some sense beaten in to you!
Those Romans look the business.
At the minute I would get some WWI stuff, especially artillery. But who knows in a week or two when the competition ends I'll probably be on to something else...
I would take the plunge and do early WW1, a period I have thought about and wanted to do but never quite got around to. It would have the advantage of simple uniforms to give me a break from painting Napoleonics. Then again, I have been looking at doing the wars of the Fronde. Small armies and I could use Clib's LoA matchlock figures. :-\

Eastern Front WWI
Hmm, probably some dark age figures for proper Dux Bellorum forces :-\
...and some more Giant Fungi, just becasue 8->
Dear Santa,
Early German WW1 ... Schlieflen Plan is ready for summer next year.
More Belgian targets, some BEF and the RND (when thet are made ready). Might event get some Froggies for early WW1.
SYW cavalry needs a top up.
I have been really really good this year.
for me it would be more ACW and maybe starting my WW2 Italians
More mongols.......

Qooooo, will it be more ww1 then :-\
Could well be - especially if the new codes come out early in the new year!!
Well whatever it becomes, congrats again, and throw us a piccie when the new lead arrives! :-bd
this time it will really be a Lead Mountain !
;)
